Good news war fans, as Company of Heroes 2: The British Forces and Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault are now available on SteamOS & Linux.

Feral Interactive have been doing a lot of hard work for us recently, so it's great to see more getting released. I am especially excited about playing as the British!

From the PR:
The British Forces features eight new multiplayer maps, a powerful selection of Commanders, armor and aircraft, and a cleverly structured tech tree that enables you to specialize in defense or attack, tailoring your army to the battlefield situation as it unfolds.

Ardennes Assault: Fight on WWII’s key western European battleground in this fast-moving single-player expansion for Company of Heroes 2 on Mac and Linux.

Lead the US Army in 18 dynamic scenarios, take on missions in any order you choose, and devise your own strategy for defeating the battle-hardened Oberkommando West.

You can get Ardennes Assault from Feral's store, or Steam.

You can grab The British Forces from Feral's store, or Steam.

I've put 19 hours into Company of Heroes 2 and loved every minute, how about you? Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

CoH2 DLC tree is a complete mess. Some of the DLCs are listed on the game's page and some others are not, some of the "DLCs" are in fact standalone games and they have DLCs of their own (sic!). An all of this is listed as "Company of Heroes 2" in the library. Up until yesterday I was convinced I had Company of Heroes 2 while I only had a few of the related standalone games but not the Standard Game, which only appeared (as a DLC!) in my library after I activated the key from the recent SEGA humble bundle. I admire Feral that they managed to get through this mess*, although it's a shame they left it in the same messy state afterwards. ;-)

(*) but did they, really? seems to me that 7 DLCs are still not ported (only have Windows icon): http://store.steampowered.com/search/?term=coh2

Is the multiplayer still limited to Linux-Mac only or can we play with Windows users by now?

I picked up all this in a humble bundle recently (for $12) which had a crap tonne of stuff in it, well worth it.
