Crytek Face More Problems, As Homefront Director Resigns

So, that's more bad news for our hopes of having the new Homefront: The Revolution not only be on Linux, but ever seeing the light of day. The director has now left.

If you remember we detailed recently about staff not being paid and leaving the Crytek studio in charge of the new Homefront FPS that will have a Linux version.

I really hope they pull through and get a grip on their studio or Homefront: The Revolution could face utter failure. We don't need another game rushed out the doors from a failing studio.

Both Crytek and Deep Silver the publisher of Homefront: The Revolution seem to be tight lipped about it too sadly. The only bit of official information is from Crytek stating they aren't in financial trouble, but with the amount of staff saying they aren't getting paid and leaving it's quite obvious something has gone awry.

I truly wonder when they started facing financial woes. Was it after Crysis 3? Or was it due to Ryse? You'd think these exclusive deals with EA and Microsoft would make them rich beyond comprehension, but it doesn't seem so. I wonder if it was Warface's doing?

Problems started with wasting money on the xbone exclusive game Ryze.

I believe the link behind "staff not being paid and leaving" should not be the game picture.
