Screwfly Studios second game 'Deadnaut' is looking to come to Linux, but their new Linux demo needs some testing and feedback first. Get to work people!

For those that don't remember Screwfly Studios are the awesome dudes behind Zafehouse: Diaries which sadly isn't on Linux, so be sure to give them a warm welcome with their new game!

You can find out how to get the demo and how to let them know what breaks on this forum topic, copied below:
QuoteWe've had the chance to do some limited testing on Linux, however, we'd like to gather some more technical feedback from users before we consider a full release.

To this end, we've just made available a Linux build of the demo. Here's the download link:

As with the Windows and OS X demos, the Linux version has the following limitations:
The game will automatically end after the completion of the second mission (the full version has four per campaign).
You are limited to a crew of three characters (down from five in the full version).
A cut-down selection of starting equipment and access to only low quality gear in the market.
Cloning is disabled.
Saving and loading is disabled.
Character generation limited to Early Career (Late Career and Wisdom are disabled), and you cannot select flaws or relationship modifiers.
Limited to a single campaign type.
You'll find the game manual online via the website.

Please post any feedback in this thread, rather than the official technical support board. If possible, let us know what distribution you're running the game on (and whether it works or not), as well as any information you feel is relevant (graphics drivers, hardware configuration, etc.).

About the game
Deadnaut is Screwfly Studios' second game and follow up to cult hit, Zafehouse: Diaries.

Deadnauts, so named because they’re unlikely to return, must explore, investigate and fight their way through the derelict ships of dead civilisations. Every mission is unique and no two locations are the same. Each ship contains mysterious enemies and hostile security systems. Manage your Deadnauts' skills, talents, relationships and flaws - and you might get them out alive. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Thanks for posting this type of info. This demo is quite fun! I also love being able to help out when devs ask for community input.

Hi

Linux Mint 17 XFCE
Nvidia GT 630
4 Gb RAM
AMD Athlon X4 620

Demo ran flawlessly: no crash, no freeze, sounds OK, graphics OK.
No complain.

Sorry my poor english.

Best regards
Fernando
