Feral Interactive are teasing our minds with a new clue for a Linux & Mac port to come. It's time to get your thinking caps on.

Here's their new clue in the Very Soon section:

"808 SB12S" is the clue.

As usual, I will leave it up to you lot who are way better than I am at decrypting Feral's teasers.

Feral sure do have quite a few games coming out this year for us, exciting. I just hope they continue to work on previous ports like XCOM 2 and Tomb Raider which aren't quite up to scratch. We are already behind on the recent XCOM 2 patch and DLC, so it's time for them to up their game. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It's Mars, so maybe it's DOOM?
Keyrock May 24, 2016
That's a picture of Mars. DooM seems too obvious, also, it's a Bethesda game. Hmm...

Edit: 808... The only thing I can think of is the Roland TR-808, a famous drum machine from the 80s. What games have a character named Roland?

The games I know that take place on mars are: DOOM, Mars: War Logs and Red faction, Mass Effect 3 had also a level on Mars...

Maybe it's Technomancer, the sequel to Mars: War Logs?

Combined with the TR-808 drum machine. I think we are onto something.

EDIT: because: Techno music.

I'm still waiting for the supposed Life is strange port.

Maybe 808 SB12S is the name of a planet or a galaxy or a star... Mass Effect Andromeda? :P

Edit: Searching for "808 SB12S astronomy" on google there's a photo of a book about thermal conductivity and also a bit of post stamps about Australia... Australia? Mad Max? Mad Max is full of red sand :)

Good call. On the other hand, when Bound by Flame got ported to Linux, I believe it was an in-house port, which leads me to believe that if Technomancer comes to Linux Spiders would do it themselves.

As for SB12S. Superbowl 12? That was won by the Dallas Cowbows defeating the Denver Broncos... I dunno, I got nothin' :P

Is there a game about cowboys battling dinosaurs in space?
