Friday Livestream At 6 PM UTC

By - | Views: 6,520
It's Friday once again and that calls for a Friday livestream! So remember to check your timezone converter and clear your schedule for some live Linux gaming goodness.

This week we don't really have any new games that we should/can play and there really isn't any schedule or plan for this evening's livestream so you can expect casual conversation on video games while I absolutely suck at Shovel Knight, which I picked up earlier. We can also try out War Thunder but due to ping issues we might not be able to play it properly.

And to those wondering: no keys will be given during the livestream. The necessary amount of fail will be provided by Shovel Knight. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm a Linux gamer from Finland. I like reading, long walks on the beach, dying repeatedly in roguelikes and ripping and tearing in FPS games. I also sometimes write code and sometimes that includes hobbyist game development.

Would Castawesome record locally as well? Would it do both streaming and recording locally?

It can do both local and live but not at the same time. Technically that wouldn't be too hard to implement, you'd just need to have two separate FFmpeg instances running at the same time. But with Twitch and Hitbox both offering a place where you can highlight and export VODs I don't think it's a priority feature. I'll take a look when I have the time.
