We recently told you about Guns of Icarus Online coming to Linux and it's here already and available to buy on Steam + it's on sale for 6 hours!I've got my copy downloading right now, so hopefully it will be good!
Update: Initial Impressions
So I gave the game about half an hour just now and there is a lot to like about the game!
The graphics are good, game play seems pretty solid too, camera seems a little odd though like you are drifting when you look around but doesn't take long to get used to.
Can be a bit of waiting in the game though once your ship is blown up to get you back into the fight, the only drawback I've seen so far!
Will be playing a lot more of this I think!

Well, Waiting is pretty long sometimes, also maybe it only me but the mouse is OVER sensitive I needed to take him to 400DPI so I can play normally, also the game is really new so lots of people who don't know what to do at all are inside, I didn't figure out if you gain something from "leveling" so right now the game fells like standing in place.. Im excited for the new Wolfire game in the Mojam Bundle. The other game devs seem to just be using Game Maker in windows. Quote me |

Definitely worth the purchase, I got Guns of Icarus during the sale A short gameplay video I made of it, running in Ubuntu 12.10 with maxed out graphics if you're interested in seeing how it runs: This game runs really well, and the Quick Match option makes it a no-hassle for me to join games. If you get disconnected, there's even a button to reconnect to that game (albeit, limited time though). Problems I've had with the game are only two: It takes a good 5 seconds or so whenever loading a map, it's textures and models. Secondly, the mouse sensitivity is too high! I have a Razer DeathAdder, and even after using xinput to reduce the sensitivity beyond Ubuntu's standard limits, it's still too fast. A short nudge to left or right results in a 180 degree turn. Sometimes even 360 degrees turn. Quote me |
