One of my favourite tactical FPS games on Linux just released an update that adds the second campaign map to the game, along with some gameplay fixes.
Probably the biggest thing in the update is the new campaign map called Starcrown in which you and your team must infiltrate a Starcrown Aerospace installation, recover research data and exfiltrate without the security systems blowing you up to pieces. The map seems quite huge and offers multiple entry points making it less linear as Neurogen Incident. Changelog also mentions new AI game events, which I imagine are related to the new map.

The update also adds a new dynamic multiplayer map. This new map, called Dynacore, changes around quite a bit during the matches and you must adjust to the changing architecture and adapt your tactics accordingly. So far maps have mostly just had changing weather and time of day but this will certainly make for interesting multiplayer matches.
Along with the update comes also a new hit detection system that apparently makes hitting your targets a lot easier and eliminating the need to have lead when firing at your opponents. Certainly a very important thing to have as I've sometimes missed shots in multiplayer which would have hit the target had the game been more accurate about its bullet trajectories. Especially when you are sniping bots in co-op it's very important you to be able to clearly tell where your bullets are going to hit when you fire your gun.

Do check out Interstellar Marines on Steam. It's still Early Access but they are making good progress and I've had hours of fun with it so I can very much recommend it.

How do players like this game compared against CoD & Halo? I've been wanting a good PC FPS for a while but CS:S and CS:GO didn't have the Halo feel, the closest I found was Section 8: Prejudice but unfortunately its Windows only and the Devs abandoned it.

This is more of a CS-style FPS with heavy focus on tactics. You are very vulnerable, can't make high jumps and you have to cooperate with your team in order to succeed. Going guns blazing like in Halo is only going to get you killed.

Quoting: dubigrasuHm, I'm having again that mouse bug, whatever I do the mouse is stuck on center of the screen.I have the same bug, but it works with this command as start option in steam:
LC_ALL=C %command%
This fixes bugs in more unity games. Kerbal and Gone Home are unplayable for me without this command.

Decided to get this and had THE MOUSE BUG.
I tried everything suggested here and the only fix for me was to switch out of full screen mode in game. Since then it seems to work fine.
