Mother 4 is a traditional RPG set in an idealized vintage America, following the adventures of a young boy and the leader of a biker gang, who get caught up in the whirlwind events surrounding a group calling themselves the Modern Men.

While I never played Mother/Earthbound I do know they are quite popular Nintendo games. The critics at the time didn't like them much, but it seems the actual fans love nowadays. The great thing about Mother 4 is that it will have a Linux version!

The game looks great and while the graphics are on the simple side the main experience of the game will be the story.

Due for release towards the end of this year it should be a fun RPG experience for fans of Nintendo games on Linux.

It will also be free of course as to not get in Nintendo's bad books, but we all know what these companies are like, and it probably won't be long before they get some sort of cease & desist letter to take all their hard work down. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Awesome and the best part is that it's its own standalone game, no emulators needed either!

You forgot to add the source btw: http://www.mother4game.com/faq/

Wow...

That is awesome. I am very excited for this. Earthbound was a fantastic campy RPG.
