For those of you who stick to Steam this will be good news. NeonXSZ is an awesome cyberspace FPS with solid gameplay and it looks good too.

It's a crazy FPS mix of quick shooting from games like Quake and Unreal Tournament while being claustrophobic like Descent as you travel inside.

The game is a little confusing though as it drops you into it without really explaining where to go, or what you have to do. It's more of a fly around, shoot some people and upgrade your ship type of game.

I love the looting, as no two ships will be exactly the same loot wise. You get whatever they have installed on their ship as loot. That's an interesting way to do it.

It's also quite hard to control your ship in fire-fights as you are not only competing against the enemy ships, but also against yourself not moving your ship too quickly and slamming into a wall.

I think it's a pretty good game certainly interesting and has a lot of interesting idea, but it could do with a little more of an introduction. Although the more I learn about it the more I like it, so it does still work this way.

Official About
NeonXSZ is a remarkably agile first-person-shooter, in cyberspace, where every opponent has unique AI.
You are the anomaly, injected into cyberspace to stake your place in a war of virus versus machine. During your journey you will fly dozens of ships and loot hundreds of upgrades allowing you to create totally unique spacecraft with which to wage war, but will you protect the operating system or join the infection to bring it down?

It's one game that's really worth picking up and spending some time playing. Check out NeonXSZ on Steam now. It's also on Desura for non-Steam gamers. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
