Nightside is a game I've been testing, and I've really taken a liking to it. Now you can too join the fun with the Steam release.

It should be noted that this build is still early, and doesn't yet feature the planned campaign or the online multiplayer, but both are coming.

You can see a previous video I created for Nightside below:

It's the game I found on Steam Greenlight that originally had no Linux version planned, but after testing it for the developer they noticed how well it worked, and agreed to do a Linux release officially. This was a most pleasing outcome for me as a traditional-styled RTS fan.

I am very interested to see how the campaign will work, as the basics are all there to make a great game, but it doesn't have masses of content right now. The single-player vs AI is good, but I need more of a challenge, so I hope to face some of you online in future.

Testing it on Ultra settings gave me an absolutely solid 60FPS, so it works very nicely for me.

About the game (Official)
NIGHTSIDE is a classic RTS game that features three races each with its own play style. The game is set on the dark side of an unknown planet where the valuable "green ice" resource can be found. Follow Adam, a human explorer, as he discovers the secrets of this dark world through a story-driven single player campaign, battle online to achieve the highest ranks on multiplayer ladder or practice against smart, adaptive AI opponents.

Yet Another Wishlisted Game... :D

This does look tasty, from the earlier review, and I might have to pick it up sooner rather than later.
