Shadow Warrior 2 FPS Gameplay Videos, Looks Insane, Will Be On Linux

By - | Views: 16,737
Shadow Warrior 2 was quite a surprise to be confirmed for Linux, especially after we only gained the first instalment recently. Thanks to E3, some gameplay videos have surfaced that makes it looks crazy good.

I have to say, it does look really good, and there's another one below:

What do you think, will you be grabbing it? Will be a day-1 purchase for me!

It's good to see us getting some real high quality first-person experiences. I know people love to disagree on it, but FPS games pretty much drive sales, so to have this on Linux/SteamOS is going to be good for us. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

It looks stunning, that's for sure. I'll keep an eye on it and see how it turns out.

Instabuy. First game is incredibly good and I don't even like first person shooters that much generally.

I picked up the previous game for like £3 on sale, so will give that one a go first. If it's good then I'll get this one too.

Quoting: GuestHaven’t finished Shadow Warrior 1 yet, probably won’t buy that one. Too basic… just follow the corridor and kill the enemies…

The guy mentioned that version 2 will be more open world.

I'll surely buy it as soon as Linux version will be released on GOG.

Isn't it a good idea to let this article replace the "Shadow Warrior 2 Announced, Seems to Be Getting a Linux port" as the top story now?

Pretty much the same here. Got Shadow Warrior with a Humble Bundle. I was never interested in the game but gave it a try recently. Too simple for my liking and at the same time too hectic (yeah, I know, it's meant to be like this). Also, I can't figure out the scoring system. And I'm not a fan of sword fights. ^^

So yeah, won't pick this up either unless it's coming with another Bundle that I might pick up in the future.

They were pretty quick in getting the Shadow Warrior 1 Linux port.

Folks. How is the performance of the first game for you?
I have same pc with 2 partitions.
amd r9 260x. core i7 2600. 16 gig ram.

With my win 7 partition I have 57fps. Everything in ultra settings. Latest amd drivers.
With my ubuntu partition I have 23 (unplayable). Latest amd drivers. (and tested on ubuntu 14.04, and upgraded to 15.04 to see if that was the reason...no luck)

Funny thing is, If i swicht settings to high I have 23 fps. If I switch to medium, i have 23 fps. And if I switch to low, I have 23 fps...
Yes, no matter who settings I choose. Always 23.

Other games in Ubuntu performs ok. I think this company leave linux market as a secondary thing, and doesnt bother our performance. If they do that to us, I think is not right to support them.
