Time To Guess What Feral Interactive Are Working On, New Teaser

By - | Views: 49,477
Feral Interactive are being sneaky, as they have given a little hint towards their next game, and it's quite obvious it's for Linux.

It's time to get excited folks. Feral Interactive ported XCOM: Enemy Unknown to Linux not too long ago, so we are all eager to see what they have up next. Luckily, we may not have to wait for long at all.

Considering the excellent job they did with XCOM they have already proven themselves to me.

The clue is this picture:

Along with "(Clue: genus and species)".

Anyone want to try figuring out what game they are talking about? Looks like a pretty big nod to us for the fact of it being a penguin.

Source: tumblr article and their twitter.

For those that somehow missed it, we interviewed Feral Interactive back in June, so be sure to give that a read. In that interview Edwin did say this about future Linux ports:

QuoteThat's the plan! Although I can't give you any clues about what's next in line, I can say that the coming year should be a good one for Linux gamers!

Oh Feral, you sneaky developers! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

So that's what all the fuss was about? So many things I could say that would get me banned, so I'll just shake my head & leave it at that.

Tell me, guys, do you really think someone may upset about XCOM: Enemy Unknown so badly? You didn't even try to understand. So why should I answer you? But I try one more time. If you don't want to understand - that's your problem, not mine.
When I bought XCOM, there wasn't any warning about 64 bit only or something like that. So, I bought the game and some DLC's, then download more than 7GB and only then I learned that XCOM has only 64 bit support. And info about it I found in one of topics. It wasn't okey at all. I spent about $10 on this game and I wouldn't have bought the game if I only knew. Should I check all topics before buying any game? Of course not.
A few games on linux don't support 32 bit. There is nothing to be upset about. I could play a windows version of XCOM if I wanted to. And despite the fact I personally don't like the whole situation with 64 bit, normally I just don't buy that sort of games. But I definitely said nothing if there was any warning. Faral deceived me and lots of other customers. I had to wrote a lot of comments before they finally agreed to change the requirements. And a lot of unpleasant comments was written. No, I don't give a hoot about someone thinks of me. They'll never be part of my life, so I don't care. But I'm talking about "friendly" linux community and just the same "friendly" linux game developers. And that's not funny at all. Just repeat that, I'm really upset not because the 32 bit support. That's it. And there is nothing more to discuss.

Yes they cheated you and now you will post at every thread how you hate them and do not want to make games for others yes? For others which is majority and which was not cheated? You can hate feral as you much can but I do not like how you want to spread your hatred to others.
lucifertdark Nov 23, 2014
Did you ask for a refund? if you did & they gave it to you then you weren't cheated at all.
Liam Dawe Nov 24, 2014
It is not cheating anyone to miss out a requirement on a store page, oversights happen, but I will not tolerate the constant junk posting from you at every possible opportunity as it's wearing thin.

They also posted that it was 64bit at the first opportunity they got, the first reply right here states it is 64bit.

There is even a guy quoting the system requirements from the day it was released on Linux, and look what we see:
QuoteOS: Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bit)

So, Astro, you simply didn't read it.

Oh that's our weekly game of Monday Mysteries. It's always a screenshot from a pre-existing Feral game. :)

We're working on it. What with all the Linux games we have planned, penguins are likely to swim their way onto our Feral Radar sooner or later...

Really glad to hear that. Big thanks to Feral!
