We Are The Worst Interstellar Marines In The Universe

A little video of myself, and our casting specialist Samsai being completely turd at testing out the latest build of Interstellar Marines.

The effects are fantastic, and the atmosphere is great. What is most surprising is the fact that an FPS like this is actually running smoothly on the Unity game engine.

I absolutely love the subtle rain effect with the little droplets on your helmet, and the sound effects to go with it.

Who the hell let me and Samsai out of basic marine training should be fired. You really do need headsets for this game, as it's far too intense to be typing out in the chat-box, so if you plan to play the co-op modes VOIP is a must.

I think it's already a pretty great game with a lot of re-playability, and each build recently has added quite a bit of new content, so it's coming along quite quickly now.

Check out Interstellar Marines on Steam, and you too can wet your pants fighting robots. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

that's no problem unless you're stationary. i more reminisced on mgo times where people were trying to sneak with gun lamp turned on;) i don't know if lamp is registered by the game or not. hell, it wasn't in demon's/dark souls so it might not be here as well. what do i know since i don't own this game yet;)

still, good old mgo times

Since your last article I gave Interstellar Marines a new try. It's really great what they have done so far. Playing together against bots in survival and elimination operations is fantastic in particular you play as a team. The only bad thing is that there are only a few players out there in the universe :D

Yes, the lamp is registered by the game and the bots react to it. It's not advisable at all to use it unless you absolutely have to, just like IRL ;)

Did someone of you tried to play with microphone? I tried to set it up but pulseaudio doesn't recognize Interstellar Marines. Counter-Strike Source works. I just want to know if it is a problem from pulseaudio, microphone or the game itself ;)

Not only do robots react to the flashlight, they also react to sound (footsteps) IIRC so you should crouch. In multiplayer games other players can also see you laser pointer, so you should only activate it when necessary. Really like that about it!
