It's running allright. I bought the game like a year ago, but back then it was in too buggy and I forgot about it. I began to play it few weeks ago. At first I had issues with crashing but then I noticed my freshly installed Ubuntu 14.04 had messed up swap, (not being used at all) which caused the game to crash. Slightly odd though, I have 8GB RAM and my swap is currently being used 4.9GB which is 65% of total 7.5GB.
The game looks fine and the performance is okay. Atleast it's really fun once you get into it. I don't play any hardcore stuff myself, I just explore the world and get to know people and play with them. Maybe have a war once in a while.
The server I'm playing on is 36KM2 which is one freaking large map. It's randomly generated, just like any other server. Maybe you want to check it out, the website is http://rust-lapland.xyz.

I wish there were more native MMOS to Linux, especially considering when they are already released for Mac. As a side note: (Not a Linux native) I currently play Guild Wars 2 with Wine-Staging build, performance is almost always 60fps+ except in really crowded situations but overall everything works.

Planeshift being another fantasy type MMO that seems interesting and more along the traditional EQ sort of gameplay.
many can be found at this website: http://www.lgdb.org/category/subgenre/mmo?sort_by=created
I tried GW2 on Linux awhile back and was able to run it around 50 to 60 fps but it would bog down a lot in WvW. I played GW2 mainly on Windows from the time it was released for about 2 years. Even on windows in WvW if you are in a large battle it will have issues with input lag, but I never really had framerate issues. But one of my all time favorite MMOs. So far their expansion and additional content like the living story has not impressed me much. since they don't charge a monthly subscription to play I was surprised not to see more expansions like they did with GW1. I think the quality of added content would have been better if they concentrated on expansions more.
I hope SOE can surprise me with a Linux compatible client for EQ next. With Steam Machines around the corner and they do have Landmark on Steam. I won't hold my breath but there could be a chance since it's still in early development and we have some time to see how Valve does in the market.

I already have ARK and Rust is kinda like that. I wouldn't quite call them MMO's. I'll take a look at star conflict though. War Thunder doesn't seem like my style of game.

I'll look into Ryzom. It sounds kind of interesting.

I'm not playing runescape. 7 Days to Die is on my wishlist although it's an MMO in the same way that ARK is.
