Alienware Steam Machine Is Shown Off In Another Nice Video

By - | Views: 11,646
I have to hand it to Alienware as they really are trying to do a push for their Steam Machine units, we have another video to show off, this time from Trisha Hershberger.

The good thing about this video for me personally, is that she looks like she has small hands and can reach all the buttons. That was actually one of my worries, as I've seen a few people mention they've seen people who can't reach all the buttons.

I should be able to give you some real thoughts of my own on the Steam Controller next week!

Exciting times. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

If you mean the Steam Broadcasting, then I agree.
But did you mean In-Home Streaming, then i don't agree.

Yeah, i forget they are both a form of streaming. I did mean the broadcasting which is still absent.

I'd like to see somebody playing titles on the steam machine a bit more than the previews videos.

I'd like more videos about SteamLink though, about performance and stuff, because when I tried in-home streaming it didn't work that well on a lot of titles.

Wrong there I was streaming Pillars of Eternity from my Linux desktop to my Linux laptop over the summer when I was laid low with a broken ankle.

At one time you could in-home stream from a Linux PC, but it's not available at the moment.

Actually, you can do "in-home stream" from Linux PC to Linux PC, I can assure you. For the broadcast I have no experience with it.

Please let me know how! Maybe I was mislead by what it says on the Steam website, but I know I used to be able to do in-home streaming, and now it appears I can't.

I take it back! A bit of messing about, some reboots, and it does work :) Apologies for my misleading posts...
