Hatred, the controversial shooter is now being tested for a Linux port

Hatred, that weird shooter about killing anyone and everyone is now in testing for Linux the developer has confirmed, and SteamDB shows it too.

Remember, never buy a game until the Linux version is released.

The developer said hours ago they were testing something, and SteamDB shows it too:
QuoteChanged App Config
launch/1/config/oslist: linux
launch/1/executable: Hatred\Binaries\Linux\Hatred-Linux-Test
launch/1/type: default

About the game
Hatred fills your whole body. You’re sick and tired of humanity’s worthless existence. The only thing that matters is your gun and the pure Armageddon that you want to unleash.

You will go out for a hunt, and you will clear the New York outskirts of all humans with cold blood. You will shoot, you will hurt, you will kill, and you will die. There are no rules, there is no compassion, no mercy, no point in going back. You are the lord of life and death now - and you have full control over the lives of worthless human scum.

You will also run, you will need to think, you will need to hide and fight back when armed forces come to take you down. You will have no mercy for them, because they dare to stand in your way.

Only brutality and destruction can cleanse this land. Only a killing spree will make you die spectacularly and go to hell. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I know what satire means.

Postal 2 is great, you do not have to kill a single one (don't know how to win then, but its possible).
Hatred is like DL not available in Germany, but Postal and L4D series are.

This is awesome news. I was going to get the DRM free version from desura until their financial troubles. If the Steam version gets Linux support i'd buy tit.

I recall them saying a Linux port would only be done if the Windows version sold successfully. I guess it was successful.

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLHatred isnt bad game. Look at users review on Steam. So If people did not protest against Postal, why they have to do with Hatred?

I think you will find that a lot of people did actually:

And lets keep the discussion of politics down to a minimum here please, at least when it veers outside the relevant realm of video game censorship.

From the performance I've seen in videos, they didn't even test it for Windows. Why bother for Linux?

QuoteBrutality in games is like in the movies, and somehow, there's no one protests.

A lot of people did go "WTF, this shouldn't be on Steam, this is awful" back when it was about to come out, but once they saw how it actually played (buggy, repetitive, overwrought, basically The Room in video game form) they shrugged and said "Fool me once" and moved on.

OTOH, people who hate that first group opened their wallets happily and gave good reviews independent of quality. That's what I call the "fool me always" demographic.

Yeh there is a lot of bashing on this gae that it's dull etc. IMO, it's a fun game that you can pick up for a few levels and then drop for a while. i like it, and it just turned up in my steam library :)

allthough it's doesn't run yet, but still....hope!
