The Talos Principle 2 has been announced

While I haven't completed The Talos Principle, I have played it and I do think it's a very well presented puzzle game. It seems it has been a hit, so The Talos Principle 2 has now been confirmed.

Confirmation comes from twitter at a talk Croteam just did (this was retweeted by Croteam themselves):

Yes, "Talos Principle 2 is going to happen" confirmed by @AlenL @Croteam on stage @NordicGame 2016! pic.twitter.com/lAMXaMJk4s

Details are obviously extremely light right now, but it's pretty fun news for the many fans of Talos.

Since Talos now uses Vulkan, it's likely they will support Vulkan with Talos 2 now that their game engine supports it. That's one reason I am excited to see more of it.

AWW YISS!

The Talos Principle is one of my favorite puzzle games, or any type of game, for that matter, in recent memory. I will buy Talos 2 day 1. Croteam deserve it.

Any word on Linux support? It's probably fair to assume it will support Linux since their engine supports it well already, but a confirmation would be nice.

I think I played at least 2/3 of the way through. I kept yoyoing between gallium on wine and native opengl as the hitching on initial level load was driving me kookoo. Otherwise a very enjoyable first person puzzle game. Not in the same league or same way as Portal. But looking forward to Talos 2 especially now they have Vulkan support.

I agree. Even the normal puzzles of Talos Principle are way more clever than those of Portal, and for the really crazy people, there are the stars...

Some of those stars were brutal. I had to resort to the walkthroughs at points just because some of them were just too obscure, like that one with the sphinx

I gave up early on them. There were many that I never have seen in the first place, let alone reached.
I gave them another try in Road to Gehenna, but failed as well. I gave up after I nearly got the one in the valley...
But for some of those that I did get, the puzzles were really clever.
