Many thanks to everyone who entered, it was a blast seeing all your creations.

For everyone else, feel free to list yours in the comments with the license and source file for others.

I hope to run some more competitions, what would you like to see next? Since the winner opted for games, our next competition will be for a donation to a FOSS project. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: GuestHey SangreDeReptil, all your wallpapers have disappeared… I wanted to ask if you could remove the GamingOnLinux text from one or two of them, as I liked them apart from the big text :).
Actually, that is why they disappeared. Now they no longer have the GoL logo, and also, for some of them ("Platinum" and "Medal" ) you can ask me for the colours you want.

I tried to upload them right now, but the system isn't working. They will eventually appear in this site:

Quoting: LinasCongrats Frank. This is a lovely wallpaper. Would be even cooler to have a transparent version that you could overlay over a desired color background. Anyone with strong enough gimp-foo to do it? :)

As you can see from my wallpaper submission, I am not good at all with things like this, but making the winning wallpaper transparent isn't very hard. Here is a transparent .PNG of the wallpaper you can put over any color you would like, although simply going into a program and recoloring the original image would likely be less work and look better.

EDIT: I realized that the text isn't very visible and the color doesn't change well in the last transparent .PNG I uploaded, so I tried again. Although I messed up a bit on parts of it (such as the penguin), this is what I ended up with:

Congrats, Frank Drebin! :)

Quoting: SangreDeReptil7) And a third idea for a tournament: to create and submit a video review of any Linux game of your choice.

Or even a text review.

I really like the winning entry. Had it set as my background for the last three weeks and it still makes me smile when I see the desktop. Definitely a keeper.
