Recently, some images 'leaked' in a Steam update that showed off a shiny new look for the Steam client and Valve have confirmed it is being worked on. Thanks to SteamDB for noticing and putting the images up.

What they said:
ValveIt's a mockup of something that's being worked on that doesn't have a date.

The Steam client is in need of an overhaul, as it's old and lacking in so many areas. Hopefully we will see something come of this, as I actually really like that design. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I just discoverd "small mode" via View -> Small Mode. Honestly this has already changed my life.

I tried it now as well, but I prefer the images of grid view...

Is it possible to have only Linux games on the shop page?

In the steam client, click on your username in the upper right of the screen. Click Preferences. Scroll to bottom. Only check SteamOS + Linux. That should do it.

Why is it so monochromatic? That's just some artifact of how the image was "leaked" and people don't actually think that looks good do they?

I hope the actual final version has full colored images of the game titles. Not only would it look better in my opinion, but having them all 1 color makes them more difficult to find.

Sepia is a specific reddish brown tint. Monochrome means shades of any single colour.

That's true. The blue hue reminds me of cyanotypes.
