The developers have expressed their willingness to port the game to Linux in this thread if there’s enough interest. It isn’t a solid promise but it’s a start! Top-down racers aren’t exactly a common thing, so it’d be nice to have something arcade-y and fast-paced like this on Linux, especially as the visuals and effects are also rather striking.

The game has a whole range of features, including local splitscreen multiplayer and an online mode as well. There's a few options for customizing your racing car as well with parts and all that, so you can make sure you have the edge on any track.

Official About:
The race is on in Mantis Burn Racing, where fast-paced bumper-to-bumper racing combines with intuitive, tactile gameplay and stunning visuals in one of the best-looking and immersive top-down racers around. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

History, sci-fi, technology, cooking, writing and playing games are things I enjoy very much. I'm always keen to try different genres of games and discover all the gems out there.

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything but coincidentally could be pronounced as "Buttery" which suits me just fine.

Quoting: SalvatosA little redundant, yet this article has already spurred two more pages of support posts in the thread so I guess GOL has a lot of new readers?
Hah, you're totally right. Can't believe I missed that. I was asked to write it up and among the various things I had to do, I forgot to check if there were pre-existing articles. D'oh! Still, seems to have been for the best so all's well that ends well or something :P

Quoting: FeistHuh, long ago I was very fond of an arcade game that was called "Super Sprint" and later I also enjoyed "Death Rally" on PC. This looks similar to both of those and I don´t think I have seen someting like it on linux, so I´ll certainly add my voice to a porting.

If you're looking for a Death Rally type of game, BlazeRush is a good one. Performance is solid too.

And where do they look to see who supports it? In case they look here, it's definitely something I would enjoy for local co-op!
