Money for the Vultures is finished with the final DLC for Desperados III

The fantastic tactics game from Mimimi Games is finished, with the final Money for the Vultures now available for Desperados III allowing you visit a location from previous games.

Desperados III: Money for the Vultures - Part 3: Once More With Feeling (what a mouthful!) brings the Season Pass to a conclusion and leads the gang back to "Eagles Nest", the legendary bandit fortress in the middle of the desert. This area, they say, is bigger and looks better than it ever has in Desperados and a fitting location to end Money for the Vultures. Looks like a whole lot of fun to sneak through.

Additionally, the Desperados franchise is now on sale on Steam until November 6 and it's the biggest discount for Desperados III so far with 40% off on both the game and DLC.

I still didn't buy the game, since THQ Nordic abandoned GOG Linux release.

Not only we get less good Linux releases these days, we get even less of them on GOG now. That's a weird progress really, considering the size of the Linux gaming market is supposed to be growing.

bought the season pass. Now I figured out what was the graphic problem with this game, fullscreen must be set to exclusive, borderless or the one with decoration have performance degradation, but still at some point with the oibaf repos with my 5600xt I could hit constant 60fps on ultra, now I can't, I have to set the graphics on medium, this is with a 5600xt so it should be able to cope with 60fps on ultra with ease. There's some bug on the mesa drivers that's coming and going, someone should git bisect the mesa drivers. I don't know if I have time, if it helps ago 1 month ago with the 20.3 git repo on oibaf I was not hitting this bug.

this level was fun in desperados 1 with the snake man, leaving the snake in a corner so when guards turn they just jump into it and are not able to see it. Maybe the level I had the most fun on desperados 1.

since we are comparing Desperados 1 to Desperados 3 I'm glad of some improvements they did regarding ethnic stereotypes. The mexican guy in Desperados looked purposedly stupid and said a lot of spanish gibberish I felt a little offended when playing the first desperados, also the african american was a slave and also had a bunch of nonsense stereotypes, that, I also think could have offended some.
Thanks Mimimi for bringing the characters to the 21st century they look much more interesting and quite frankly much much better. I actually want to know more about each character. On the 1st version every character was such a stereotype that I felt that I already knew all their history beforehand.

UPDATE (regarding the performance bug) ... so I tried the amdgpu pro driver and the bug is not there, so maybe it is a bug with Navi cards? not sure, for now I'm glad that now I can get 80fps on average with the amdgpu pro driver

Wait, 2020 wasn't the year of the Linux desktop; again?

Seriously through, I totally agree and for me it was a huge disappointment that Desperados III wasn't released on GOG.com. It really was one of the few games I was still looking forward to.
