Released only a week ago, publisher Hooded Horse sent word that Sandustry has managed to hit over 100K sales already which is mighty impressive. Given how much competition there is on Steam, I think it's worth celebrating for smaller developers (especially so when they directly support Linux).
It has also managed to hit an Overwhelmingly Positive user rating on Steam from over 2,000 user reviews.
What actually is Sandustry? A factory automation game where every pixel is a resource waiting to be mined, mixed, processed, or destroyed. You get to explore a vast and fully-destructible open world as you seek out powerful artifacts left behind by an ancient civilization.

There's also already a co-op mod available for it on the Steam Workshop too named "SandTogether".
With it now in Early Access, the developer has been pushing out some needed fixes for it quite rapidly too.
I still haven't had enough time with it yet for even some proper initial thoughts (sadly) due to everything else releasing, but I will be jumping in properly very soon. The early bits I played were thoroughly impressive, it just worries me that I won't want to do anything else next time I hit play on it.
