Rogue Blight recently released with Linux support - a great looking 2D action souls-inspired side-scroller that's getting some good user reviews. Reminds me a bit of the classic Salt and Sanctuary but with a Slay the Spire-like node map system, which is an interesting mix for this sort of game.

Here you fight your way through ever-changing maps. Each run lets you customize your play-style based on what you find. Death is punishing but not quite the end since it's a roguelite but you'll certainly need some skill to get through it.

Seems okay, although the Barotrauma-style "paper doll" animation does make the characters feel a bit light somehow. As does the character in full heavy armour zipping around, making multiple attacks without ever touching the ground.

I think I'd have to wait and see how people say it handles before taking a chance on it. I did love Salt & Sanctuary.
