DXVK is a Vulkan-based translation layer for Direct3D 8/9/10/11 to run lots of games nicely on Linux with Wine / Proton. It's automatically included with Valve's Proton, and is one of the reasons so many thousands of games work so well.
As a reminder - you can upgrade the version of DXVK in Proton yourself if you really need some of the fixes right now - check out how in the GamingOnLinux guide.
Version 3.1.1 has been released with a few nice bug fixes.
Key Changes
- Implemented
DXGI_SCALING_NONEand SetBackgroundColor methods for DXGI swap chains. This reportedly fixes some Adobe software. (PR #5871). - Fixed shader compiler crash with certain ENB shaders. (PR doitsujin/dxbc-spirv#94).
- Fixed an issue that could cause deadlocks in certain D3D9 games, including SpellForce 2 Anniversary Edition and The Sims: Medieval. (#5874, #5888).
- Call of Duty: Ghosts: Fixed vertex explosions on player models.
- Corpse Party: Fixed regression that would cause part of the screen to be dark. (PR #5904).
- Painkiller: Black Edition: Fixed an issue with the game window not being sized properly. (#3762).
- Rayman 3: Fixed regression that would cause flickering graphics. (#5886).

Note: Unfortunately, some anti-virus software has once again started flagging our 32-bit builds.
