NVIDIA released a fresh security bulletin for September 30th that notes quite a lot of issues that have been found in their graphics drivers. You're really going to want to ensure you're up to date this time, I was pretty shocked to see the list enter the GamingOnLinux inbox today.
This is the most I've ever seen in one go. Possibly as a result of more AI being used to track down issues. Like we've also seen for the Linux kernel which has caused Canonical to speed up Ubuntu kernel updates.
Since it's a long list, firstly here's the safe GPU driver versions: 615.71.09, 610.57.04, 595.91.07, 580.178.04. If you have any in those driver series below those versions numbers - it's time to update.
Here's all the issues below that affect the Linux GPU driver (I removed some that are just Windows issues):

Quoting: LuuuuuuuThis is what happens when you vibe code your drivers; these issues weren't just found by AI - they were created by AI coding.I've been wondering this with the kernel. Any time I've tried using these things for coding I always feed it into a different one and the litany of errors is staggering. Then I feed the fixes into another one and not only are there errors the second one missed (quite often fairly obvious ones right at the top) but its fixes made more errors. I do worry that we're going to enter a vicious cycle.
Quoting: LuuuuuuuThis is what happens when you vibe code your drivers; these issues weren't just found by AI - they were created by AI coding.I'm a programmer and detest vibe coding, but this is not a correct statement. I've been fixing AI-found security bugs for 4 months straight now, and it's all been about bugs that have been in the codebase for a very long time, including in code that I've meticulously designed and tested (and I'm a very careful person).
Vibe coding will I'm sure lead to disaster, but it's too new for the disaster to show. I'm willing to bet almost all of these driver bugs were human generated and from code written before AI.
Fun fact, this will negatively impact open source's reputation as the "secure" option, since the code is available, and so anyone can use their ยฃ200/month Claude sub to compile an enormous list of CVEs.
Meanwhile, Windows and MacOS might be getting the same treatment internally, but I guarantee they won't be disclosing how many errors it found.
