Canadian developer Beyond Fun Studio has announced Aeolis Tournament, a new 3D 8-player party game that will be coming to Linux in April next year.

This is the first time they've officially announced it, however they've shown it off at various conventions like the Tokyo Game Show, MEGA-MIGS, DreamHack Montreal and Comiccon Montreal. They also won the Best Game award at both the 2019 Catapulte program and 2018 Pixel Challenge in Quebec City so they must be onto something good here.

Aeolis Tournament is a Nintendo-inspired 3D party game where up to 8 players compete in various game modes based on a simple one-button mechanic. Characters use an air cannon to control the power of the wind and affect their surroundings. Aeolis Tournament features physics-based gameplay, a tournament mode and local and online multiplayer play.

When asking the developer about Linux support, I was told "We've begun testing and porting it for Linux. We still have work to do for the online but the plan is to have a full release on Windows, MacOS, Linux, and Switch in April.".

Aeolis Tournament is currently under development and is planned to be released on April 3rd 2020. You can wishlist and follow Aeolis Tournament on Steam.
