Fun free party game Hammer Dongers gets a visual upgrade

By - | Views: 10,639

In the free game Hammer Dongers up to four players run around small arenas attempting to take each other down, with the hook here that your hammers destroy the terrain around you.

A lot of fun actually and its seeing an increasing amount of polish as the developers continue expanding it. A fresh update is out for the game now which (amongst other things), gives it a nice visual bump with dynamic lighting thanks to new bits included in the Unity game engine and the difference it makes is impressive.

Wall decoration traps will also be a little more lively, with a bunch of them no longer needing you to step on a specific tile to activate and fire something at you. Instead, they now activate as a reaction to your character to make things feel a bit more dynamic. A new item was also added as a pick-up with the Chicken Wand, allowing you to turn foes into a chicken briefly to make bringing the hammer down on them that little bit more hilarious. There's a few other tweaks along with a bunch of new music tracks.

Overall, it's really starting to come along nicely as a fun party game to play with friends.

Grab it free from itch.io. It currently only supports local multiplayer with a single-player mode planned.
