Along the Edge gets some nice improvements to be Steam Deck ready

By - | Views: 12,911

Along the Edge is a visual novel set in the European countryside, where your choices impact the main character's personality and appearance.

Released originally in 2016, developer Nova-box recently announced a fresh update noting: " We're very glad to announce that Along the Edge is now ready for the Steam Deck! We implemented the requirements and recommendations for the new device, and we now support the new "Dynamic Cloud Save", allowing the players to suspend their game and pick it up where they left off on another device."

Patch notes include:

  • Dynamic Cloud Save support,
  • Support of Xbox One / Xbox Series controller icons on all platforms,
  • Overall performance optimizations and under the hood upgrades,
  • Various bug fixes.

Interesting, I never played any of their games but I definatively like the style.

Also, checking the other games by that dev/publisher they applied that "Ready for the Steam Deck!" treatment for their other games too (links to the patch notes):

- Seers Isle
- Across the Grooves

Both with the same notes:
Quote- Dynamic Cloud Save support,
- Support of Xbox One / Xbox Series controller icons on all platforms,
- Overall performance optimizations and under the hood upgrades,
- Various bug fixes.
