After a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2018, the action-RPG "Last Epoch" released into Early Access back in April. It sounds like development is going well, with a number of things announced recently.

In their update post, they went over some of their current plans. Firstly, the next update is now due in "early" August although there's no details yet in what it will bring. However, they also mentioned that the update after will be including "additional Chapter content, Time Rifts, new enemies, new skills - and more" which all sounds good.

Eleventh Hour Games have also decided to put up a public roadmap, while it won't be as precise as their internal roadmap (to give them the chance to remain flexible) it will at least give players some insight into their wider plans for the game.

Other things announced include a free demo coming in "Q3 2019" which seems to have replaced their plans for an open beta, voice acting is coming, new weapons are coming and they had an additional six members join their team so it really does sound like it's going well. I'm definitely looking forward to a full play-through of this one, it has a great feel to it.

Check it out on Steam or the official site.

Fantastic artwork! But man how tired I am of this perspective in RPGs, especially in action RPGs.
So distanced to your character and the environment. It seems indie devs are on autopilot when it comes to the framework in these types of games.

Wow, props for the correct names of the platforms this title will release on at the end of the trailer!

That teaser screenshot (from about one minute into the trailer) on the wooden structure gave me instant Dungeon Siege 2 vibes.

This game doesn't work properly anymore since the Steam version. At the first release on Steam it launched but had graphical errors (rainbow like) because of a certain graphical effect.

Now, I can launch the game, but can't enter the world. Clicking the button doesn't do anything and the mouse has a weird ghosting effect when I move it.

I deleted the original settings folder but even after that, the issue remained.

I had all those issues as well on the native version. Forcing Proton fixed them and I am able to play

I figured as much. I guess the performance is better as well?

Since the game is native to Linux, I kind of didn't wanted to force Proton. The developers should make sure the Linux version works as well.

Too bad no multiplayer.
