If you still haven't picked up Alien: Isolation, now is a good time. Feral Interactive have the game on sale on their official store.

Alien: Isolation – The Collection is the base game plus all the DLC available, so it's a rather good deal!

Note: While AMD GPUs aren't officially supported, the latest version of Mesa apparently gives a good experience.

Buying it there actually gives more money to Feral, so it's a good way to get a cheap game and support the porting company directly.

A cracking deal for a brilliant game, just be sure to get a spare set of pants ready. It's easily on of the scariest games available on Linux right now. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm halfway through the PS4 version, but bought nonetheless. Apparently I have too much money. I hope Feral will, too. ;-)

I grabbed it when it first released for Linux, if I hadn't I'd grab it now, one day I might even get all the way through it.

I might finally buy it. I'm halfway to own all of Feral ports, but they port games faster that I can play them :p

How does Alien run on Linux? Haven't check yet...

It runs very well on my GeForce GTX 750Ti. It started up with low graphics settings after installation, but even after changing most settings to high, the performance is very decent.

How scary is the game? I really don't like scary stuff. Especially Jump scares (which is basically the lamest way to scare people in media).

Scaredy-cats unite! I've only played a few hours so far, but mostly it's about the butt clenching tension of survival than actual brown-pants scares. It's a sci-fi thriller like the Alien movies more than outright horror. There's a constant sense of peril as you explore the space station. The game's stressful enough to keep me playing in short stints, and difficult and frustrating but the atmosphere is spot on and the experience is good.

Bought. Don't think it will run well on my APU though :p

Edit: After playing the game for two hours, I can say that the game is very much playable @720p on A10-7850K. FPS between 20-50.
