Amanita Design now has some of their titles up on game store itch, on sale too

Posted by , / 2170 views

Amanita Design [Official Site], developer of beautiful games like Machinarium and Botanicula is another well known name to put their games up on the itch store.

They now have these titles on there which support Linux:

You can find their itch.io store page here, with links to their games. They're all on sale too, a perfect time to grab them if they still haven't picked up a copy.

As a big fan of itch.io, I'm really happy to see more well known developers put their games on it. Their store is slick and easy to use, but the icing on the cake is their speedy open source game client.

subSo they got finally rid of the awful Adobe AIR backend that dropped Linux support a long time ago?

From what I've heard, they are using their own engine now. Really, they can as well have picked Haxe, if they liked ActionScript.

ShmerlTheir upcoming game Chuchel doesn't list Linux

There will be none, i guess. Amanita never was into linux with all that flash based works.

There will be none. Amanita uses Adobe Air and Air for Linux is dead for long time.

From what I've red, they aren't using Adobe Air anymore. It's really junk. Not sure what they are using, but as I wrote above, Haxe could be a good option for them.
