Atom Zombie Smasher the rather cool indie game from a while ago has finally been updated and it has a Linux version on Steam.

Ethan Lee did the re-porting effort as we wrote about before, so it's good to see attention on older titles.

The first run gave me a weird error and it quit:

On the second attempt it seemed to work fine, even on my dual-monitor setup it gave me the correct resolution on the correct monitor so that's ace.

About the game
Take command of your mercenary forces in Atom Zombie Smasher. The zombie apocalypse is upon us and it's up to you to evacuate everyone before they fall prey to the undead.

Conduct massive rescue operations with a helping hand from snipers, artillery crews, orbital bombardments, and more. Experience the tactical richness of fully-destructible environments and procedurally-generated campaigns.

And when the apocalypse ends, create your own game mods and share them with the Online File Share. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Great! Used to play this on Desura obsessively. Glad to see it finally made it over to Steam.
