Brigador [Official Site], the destruction-heavy shooter is set to get a big re-release to give it some new life. Sounds like a good plan to me!

On June 2nd it will get an update with:
  • A new intro campaign
  • New pilots and playable vehicles
  • Achievements
  • Complete rebalance of difficulty to better ease in new players
  • Localization to German, Russian, Japanese, French, Spanish, & Brazilian Portuguese
  • More stuff they aren't yet telling us about

I think it is a great game, visually, but it did have some gameplay problems. Looks like they are well aware and will be making a serious attempt to make the game more inviting and less hard-core.

Thankfully, they just pushed out a smaller update while people wait for the bigger one. The recent patch adds in UI customization options, more technical info for all weapons, better descriptions for all campaign loadouts, weapon rebalance and more. See the full notes on the patch here. I hope the relaunch gets this game much more attention than what it received for the initial release. Everything about Brigador hits my sweet spot, whether it be the gameplay, art style, music or the lore.

Good to see it's getting further (free!) content after the Halloween updates. Excellent game and great soundtrack.

I'm surprised they want to further tweak its Dark Soulsesque approach to difficulty and trial and error. If anything then people in reviews seem to be praising the challenge and if someone's uncomfortable with it then you can use that recently added slow-down option AND what I think not everyone has realised is that there has always been a difficulty selector right at the start of each mission, i.e. the mech selector, which goes from the easiest mech at the top of the list to the hardest mech at the bottom.
