SteamLUG April Linux Gaming Events

Posted by , 3 April 2014 at 1:06 am UTC / 4262 views
Hey people!

The Steam Linux User Group (SteamLUG.org) has its April events lineup available for anybody who'd like to meet and play with other Linux gamers!

Event times are in UTC (click on an event for local time via Steamcommunity.com) and happen at 20:00 (8PM).

All of our events aim to be accessible to newcomers and give experienced gamers a chance to play socially.

Events marked with an asterisk (*) follow a live SteamLUG Cast recording, and are likely to start late when we go over time.

Hope to play with you soon!

I participated in a few of those. Friendly atmosphere, lots of fun, even if a bit chaotic at times. Also do not worry if you have never tried the game before. You will probably be not the only one. Highly recommended.

I would join in the TF2 event, but sadly it's one of the few times someone comes over to visit!

Glad to hear such a positive recommendation! Thanks

We did that in March. I'm certain we'll come back for more Serious Sam: BFE in the future

Our servers are always open for people to use, though. You may be able to find others who're keen on a game in the SteamLUG IRC channel.

We've been talking about having regular Guns of Icarus Online events outside our usual schedule. If that goes well, we may branch out and do that for our other more popular games like TF2. Fingers crossed

Glad to hear!

We try not to schedule more than one TF2 event a month in our primary weekend slots. The servers are always open though and people are more than welcome to use them (and our Mumble Server).

Down the track we may look at doing something more regular outside of our normal schedule, but that's likely to take a while to get together unless we get more people interested in helping out with event coordination.
