In the continuing saga of GPD versus Bazzite Linux, the GPD team have now posted their own statement on what happened.

GPD are being weird again - making a claim that the GPD WIN 5 is getting an "official" adaptation with Bazzite Linux but the Bazzite team say otherwise.

The upcoming pricey and strangely designed GPD WIN 5 is coming later this year, and it's now confirmed to have support for Bazzite Linux.

Hardware vendor GPD have updated their store page for the GPD WIN 4 (2025) which notes they plan to support SteamOS on it with help from Valve.

ChimeraOS Linux 46 has released today and there's a whole lot of improvements for this handheld and couch-gaming focused Linux distro.

GPD, the company behind many portable devices like the upcoming GPD WIN Max 2, made a claim about "cooperating" with Valve to get SteamOS working on their hardware.

Think GPD are a trustworthy company to buy devices from? Well, with the Steam Deck now here, they appear desperate.
