Cities In Motion & Cities In Motion 2 Released For Linux On Steam

By - | Views: 13,447
The day has come simulator fans, both Cities in Motion & Cities in Motion 2 including the new DLC have been released for Linux on Steam!

I broke the news about it coming soon only a few days ago, but I didn't think it would come this soon.

About Cities in Motion
Rendered in rich detail, four of the world’s greatest cities - Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam - await the steady hand of a planner to manage their transportation needs in Cities in Motion.
Overseeing the changing needs of people from 1920 to 2020, it’s up to you to manage everything from buses, trams and subway trains to maximize profits while pleasing commuters.

About Cities in Motion 2
Cities in Motion 2 is the sequel to the popular mass transit simulation game Cities in Motion. Build, manage and lead your transportation network to provide cities with their ever changing needs. CIM2 introduces new features including multiplayer game modes, day and night cycles, timetables and dynamic cities.

Building the transportation network will directly affect how the city grows. Affordable transportation brings middle class housing and work places, while more expensive and exotic choices bring high end businesses. Take advantage of many different types of vehicles including buses, trams, ferries and more.

Build alone or play cooperatively with a friend. Use the newly implemented bus lanes to build efficient traffic free roadways. Tackle rush hour by managing transportation timetables and meeting the needs of the citizens.

Features
  • Dynamic cities
  • Player’s choices effect city growth
  • Day and night cycle
  • Manage the timetables
  • Multiplayer with both co-operative and competitive modes
  • Campaign and sandbox modes

Game runs beautifully, even with recording software on. With all the games they released  on Linux so far, Paradox is starting to be my favorite company:P
