Due for release sometime this Summer, Children of Morta looks like it's going to be a huge amount of fun and thankfully the Linux version is still confirmed to be coming.

Originally funded on Kickstarter, you will be forgiven if you forgot all about it as this was way back in 2015. In their message to me, they said "Yes we still have Linux in the plan.". However, they also posted on Steam for everyone to see and they said:

We have not canceled the Linux version friends. The aim is to have it when the game fully releases on Steam. If not day one then definitely in the release month. We love Linux and will make sure this game is playable on this fantastic OS!

Nice to see such positivity!

It was originally due to release last year, but they delayed it as it seems it became a lot bigger than originally planned. It's really looking good though so hopefully the previous delay will have been worth it. I love their style too, with pixel art and such lush modern lighting. It's also the promise of a proper story that interests me, with it focused around a single family with each member having a unique play-style along with an ever changing world that will be unique for each play-through.

You can wishlist/follow it on Steam.

First impression: "Sigh, pixel graphics."
Second impression: "You shut up, first impression. This game is dope!"
