Deliver pizzas, upgrade your car and smash into everything in Crash World

Posted by , | Views: 9,044

Crash World is an upcoming comedy pizza delivery game with some really silly physics and you can try an early demo right now.

Releasing on Steam next year, it's a pretty wacky game. Bouncy physics, terrible vehicle handling, a car you can upgrade and an ever-changing city should provide plenty of amusement. This isn't some GTA-style open-world game though, it's mission-based but going off-mission is something that will happen often. It did to me anyway, I just couldn't help myself.

You're driving around a cartoon styled blocky city, delivering pizzas or crashing into everything depending on what your chosen mission is. It becomes true chaos too, during one mission I accidentally ran over a police officer who was asking for help (totally missed that side-quest) and then when trying to finish my actual mission of destroying evil lamp posts I had police cars trying to smash into me and police officers firing at me. It was absolutely crazy.

On another attempt, I went a bit too fast while taking a hippy to a mechanic and caused a bit of a pileup. My car exploded and as the camera zoomed out I then saw a little bit of a chain reaction as my car smashed into another, then that exploded into another and so on. Hilarious, lots of unexpected stupid things happen.

They're onto something here, if they keep polishing it and adding to it right up until release, this could be a great game for top laughs. You can try out an early demo on Game Jolt and wishlist/follow on Steam.

This game reminds me of Crazy Taxi and, oh man, I used to love that game.

Makes me nostalgic for Simpson's Hit&Run which is no longer available to purchase legally.
