Desura has new games! 2 DROD games and Spectra

By - | Views: 4,089
Amongst all the Steam and Kickstarter news new releases on Desura are still happening which is great! This time they have added DROD: The City Beneath, DROD: Gunthro and the Epic Blunder and Spectra.

It's good to see Desura is keeping up with getting more games in!

My personal opinion is that they need to do more for their games, I hate to compare them to Steam as they are different but they could take a lot of ideas from Steam.

They are currently working on a re-design from what I know so maybe we can get some sneak peaks soon. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Well, the regular and awesome sales promotions are a huge one.  I remember that for a while, when I launched Desura, a little box would pop up with the latest promotions, but I don't see it any more.  Hm.

IndieRoyale is great, but it's hard to justify buying Linux games that way (only one so far has offered two Linux games, one AGS game that works with the Linux AGS interpreter, and one dead simple RPG Maker XP game which is almost guaranteed to work perfectly on Linux).

Yeah, Desura could do a better job of promoting their games.  That said, it's like four guys.  Who's going to do that work?  To my knowledge, they actually curate their games better than Valve in some cases (check out The War Z controversy).
