Dota 2 performance update released

Valve have updated Dota 2 [Steam] again and this time they have focused on improving the overall performance of their free to play MOBA.

It's not exactly clear what they've done, as the announcement was surprisingly light on actual details. It's not clear if this is across all graphical APIs in use or not.

Here's what they said:
QuoteNo matter which aspect of Dota captures your interest, all players benefit from improvements in the performance of the game client. With that in mind, today's update delivers multiple changes focused on providing smooth and consistent gameplay regardless of the hardware setup you're running.

Over the past few weeks, we've released many small incremental updates aimed at improving client performance. In today's update, we're releasing many more fixes that will also improve overall performance and FPS stability. Specifically, low-end machines will see a higher peak frame rate, while high-end machines will experience improved frame-rate consistency, resulting in fewer performance dips.

I haven't done any recent benchmarks or played any of it for over a month, so I can't really comment on if there's any difference. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Yup, playing few matches and look like I have more about 10-15 FPS but still have horrible lags when pressing ENTER for chat or right clicking on item in box - especially in mid and end of game.
