Linux users will be able to enjoy Full Throttle Remastered this year, but not until after the Windows version has released.

Thanks to our twitter follower for linking us to this forum topic from DoubleFine where it's confirmed:
QuoteFor the question of platforms, we have a contract deadline we have to hit for early-ish next year, so we are focusing our effort on PS4, Vita and Windows for launch. After the initial launch we will be fixing bugs and addressing the feedback from the community (like we did for DOTT) while also working on the OSX, Linux and iOS versions. Trust me, we would love to release everything on day-one, but we are a pretty small team and don't want to compromise the quality of the game by spreading ourselves too thin.

Full Throttle was originally released in 1995, so like the Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle Remastered editions Full Throttle will also see a massive revamp. It will update pretty much everything, so graphics, sound and so on.

Are you excited? I've never played the original. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I do hope it is Cheese as he did a great job with the Day of the Tentacle Remastered port for Linux: http://boilingsteam.com/podcast/podcast-4-with-cheese-porter-on-dott-remastered

This is not art from the remastered edition. This is fan art made many years ago. Here's a forum thread for it.

Quoting: Mountain ManWow, that trailer sucks. Doesn't give you any idea what the game actually is.
For better or worse, that's pretty typical for adventure game trailers. If it's of interest, here's a FT trailer from the 90s.

I was trying to finish my collection of 90's puzzle/adventure games about 10 years ago and a friend of mine recommended Full Throttle, I had never heard of it. Anyway, I found a classic boxed version and grabbed a copy of ebay. Fantastic game :D. These remasters look too clean in my mind somehow. I think the low res blockyness has it's charm.

No one can stop the penguins ascent. There has been many good titles recently, and so much more to come (Full Throttle, CIV VI, Dirt Rally...)

The description of their previous remaster (DoTT) on Steam says this:
QuotePlayers are able to switch back and forth between classic and remastered modes, and mix and match audio, graphics and user interface to their heart’s desire.

They looks maybe too clean indeed if you played the old version. But what I like with double fine, is that they do not completly change the design, they just make it not pixelated. On the opposite Monkey Island 1 & 2 completly changed their design, and I did not enjoyed it at all (appart from the soundtrack rework). It was way too cartoonish/disney as opposed to their original version, which in 1990's were more designed like movies with realistic but yet poetic graphics. But thanks to these editors we can play it retro way.

Hype !
Great memories from this game, even if i didn't finish it.
I hope the Linux port will be nice too, as DoTT is.
