Fancy Skulls FPS Roguelike to release this summer

By - | Views: 9,729
Fancy Skulls is a first person shooter with procedural generation and permadeath, or simply FPS roguelike. This is why indie's rock, I love mash ups like this, especially FPS!

In this game you navigate trough levels, collect items, upgrade weapons, fight different enemies and find secrets.
Items often alter the way you play the game, you can find itemsthat allow you to double jump, or move faster, shoot fireball or slow down time. Or summon a totem that will shoot lightning at your foes.

You play as an immortal creature who is a precious part of a collection, and tries to escape capture.

The character designs in this are simply brilliant, I love the look of things when they fall apart as well.

Available to buy this summer 2013, this one should be a hit!

It doesn't state it on the page but it's using Unity, confirmation from my conversation with the developer on twitter:

@gamingonlinux it's all unity3d that makes it easy for developers to deploy on many platforms:)

So yes, another win for Linux thanks to Unity. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Very interesting but, if you play as an immortal creature, how can you have permadeath?
