Feral Interactive are teasing another Linux port

By - | Views: 49,241

Another one?! Yes! Feral Interactive have begun teasing us once again with a new upcoming Linux and Mac port.

On their famous port radar, one they jokingly claim has a mind of it's own, is this new clue for Linux and Mac:

"Flushing Point"

For those interested, here's a higher resolution picture:

They only just recently released Total War: WARHAMMER II, with Life is Strange 2 and Total War: THREE KINGDOMS and Shadow of the Tomb Raider all confirmed to be coming.

I know some of you groan about the teasers, but they're a good bit of fun in my book. They've seemingly started announcing titles quite a bit sooner than before too which is great.

What do you think it will be this time? So many announcements lately, this is fantastic to see. If it's HITMAN 2 or something more open-world, I'm completely sold. Shutup and take my money.

Ps. Apologies to any copyright holders on the image, couldn't find where it's from. Do get in touch if you're unhappy with us including it here…

BioShock 1&2 Remastered?

Quoting: liamdaweValkyria Chronicles 4 might be interesting, but it seems like a title that isn't popular enough for Feral. Looking on Steam, it has less than 1K reviews, pretty niche title it seems.

Maybe, but it's already platinum/gold with proton, so maybe it's as easy as packaging it with the Feral launcher and pushing to the store?

My first thought was that there might be a place called Flushing Point somewhere in Queens, New York City. And it turns out there is (or, at least, a development called Flushing Point Plaza), not far from Citi Field and the Arthur Ashe Stadium.

What this might mean, or if it's even relevant at all, I have no idea.

I thought it looked vaguely familiar. Oran Mor's just down the road from me. It's a bar/restaurant complex in a former church. Very popular for weddings. Although I imagine Feral didn't choose it for that. :)

Whenever they do these I just guess some Total War game. I figure I have about a 75% chance to be correct. :P

Wow, Feral really doesn't stop being awesome!

I hope for a day-one release of Alien: Blackout :D

But my first impression from the picture was also Darksiders. Well, there is still the unfinished port from Leszek Godlevski that never got released.

I wish I was better at this, but I hope its Shadow of War!!

"Flushing Point" a place in NY == Gotham City

Image of a knight on a flying steed at night => Dark Knight => Batman

"Where are we going?" => Music track from Batman animated series

Doesn't run well in Proton. Published by Warner Brothers who also has a history with Feral.

Pack it up boys, case closed.

Quoting: ageresBioShock 1&2 Remastered?

Bioshock 1 Remastered has already been ported by Feral, the image shows both Mac and Linux ports for the new thing. It could be 2 I suppose, but why wouldn't they port the first one to Linux first?

There are only a few possibilities left based on track record.

1. Vampyr (since they are currently working on LiS 2, it makes sense that they would talk to them about doing this).

2. Shadow of War (Definitive edition is out after all).

3. Hitman 2 (Possibly less likely atm because the the devs for that have parted ways with the original publisher with whom Feral has had many agreements with before [Square Enix]. I'd imagine it'll take some time to work out a new arrangement).

Doubt it's a brand new title from a different publisher.

So do I mate, so do I. The first one was awesome, and we miss out on all the microtransactional buffonery by getting it now instead of alongside Windows! It has Very Positive reviews on Steam most recently. Oh, and it would probably come with Vulkan. So much yes.

Apart from that, I could see Dirt 4 or Dirt Rally, the new Alien game, or Hitman 2, given Feral's previous collaborations. I'd be fine with any of them coming to us, to be honest :)

If I had to wish upon a star for a game out of the blue for Feral to have a crack at, it would be Divinity: OS2 Divine Edition. It seems to have sold pretty well and has all round great reviews, but yeah, probably wishful thinking.
