I've been looking forward to this game since I heard the announcement, but what I've read about the game is not good. What I've read is that the game kicks people out of the game cause of the always online DRM, and if the servers are offline (which have happened) you can't use your saves.

I tried searching more on these issues but I couldn't find any definitive answers if it has been fixed or not. Does anyone know?

So basically once they shutdown their serves you can no longer play?

Think I'll skip this one then, properly wont have time to play anytime soon and it would suck to be unable to play because the auth server was no longer profitable.

I was reading about reports from mid-early last year and steam reviews, but I couldn't find any info if it has been fixed since then.

Can anyone from feral confirm this? Is this not due to Denuvo? Other titles with denuvo have similar issues like Doom 4.

If it's like other square enix game, we can hope feral will remove that feature to allow offline saves.

Also Linux gamers might not be required to stay or even get online. There's no Denuvo on Linux. Let's wait.
Liam Dawe Feb 13, 2017
The online requirement is likely part of the game itself, not a Denuvo-thing. Since some of it syncs with their servers for the latest targets, that's likely part of the reason. Still, even so, it shouldn't need to be online all the time, nor fail anything if it cannot sync. Hopefully it won't affect people too much.

The did get an update with an "offline profile", which suggests that it should be playable offline. But for more first hand answers it's always best to drop into the stream and ask questions directly.

You'll be able to play the single-player game offline. But there's plenty of online content too, like Elusive Targets. You'll get to enjoy all that too, just like the Windows lot.
