Fistful Of Frags Will Come To Linux If Greenlit

By - | Views: 28,367
Fistful Of Frags - First person shooter set in the Wild West times. Take part in frenzy team versus shootouts or play cooperative missions against AI managed enemies. Most of the classic black powder guns are available in single or dual wield setup.

Currently it is Windows only, but if it gets greenlit to go onto Steam directly, then it will be ported to Valve's newer SDK that supports Linux, simple. (source)

This is a free modification for Source engine that has been in development for almost 8 years. It will remain free of charge forever. No micro-transactions, no donations, not anything that involves taking your money.

You all like free games right? Needs a big push on Steam's greenlight so go spare a vote.

Features
  • Loot capture game modes in several flavors (Fistful of Dollars, Few Dollars More, Gold Rush), Push-Zone Capture, Train Robbery, Survival, Deathmatch and Showdown (Gun Game like)
  • Duel tournament using free aim revolvers for enhanced realism
  • Custom multiplayer bots to improve your skills off-line
  • Notoriety based player progression system (restarts each map)
  • Equipment and player customization
  • Dual wield system: combine any pair of handguns, 7 models to choose from
  • Weaponry: knife, axe, Colt Navy 1851, Colt SAA "Peacemaker", Colt Walker, S&W Schofield, Mare's Leg, Deringer .41, double barrel shotgun, sawed off shotgun, Henry repeating rifle 1860, Smith carbine 1857, Winchester 1893 pump shotgun, Sharps rifle 1874, dynamite, and bow with normal/fiery arrows

I can only imagine. Lost an R somewhere. Haha.

SO it's like Tf2 but with a western theme. Wasn't/ Isn't there a game like this already on Linux with the quake engine?

How come you compare it to TF2? And did you mean it in a good way? Just curious :)

Some of the animations (jumps) reminded me of TF2, and that it's based on source. That's it really.

For anyone still trying to find the "Greenlight" page under the Steam client, go to the "Community Tab" and Greenlight will be a category underneath that. Then just search for "Fistful of Frags" and poof, you can vote. I already did :D More Linux games!
