The day we (or is it just me?) have long been waiting for is here! I have finally been released back into the civilian life from my 6 month vacation in the Finnish Defence Forces and I am back to bring the hurt to the demons, insurgents and everything else the games classify as targets. So, strap yourself in and point your browsers to our Twitch channel for some live Linux gaming!

Lots of stuff has happened during these ~6 months I've been away and, as you might imagine, keeping up with gaming isn't all that easy to do when you live in the barracks with tight army schedules most of the time. So, the gaming menu for the evening isn't exactly brand new stuff but I believe it's worthy of some streaming.

We are going to kick things off with a game that suits the occasion quite well: ARMA 3. What better way to celebrate leaving the more active army life behind than to play fake war with some realism in what is practically a military simulator? After that we are going to change things up a bit and play some scientist guy in some sort of a scifi shooter called Black Mesa which seems to be based on some other scifi shooter called Half-Life. We never played that game on stream so maybe it's worth a look or something. And finally, as is traditional for _my_ Friday Livestreams, we are going to end the evening with some demon slaying in Project Brutality.

Hopefully you will find the gaming menu pleasing and have a wonderful weekend! Oh, and don't worry about Liam, he'll be livestreaming again tomorrow! Double the streams, double the fun! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm a Linux gamer from Finland. I like reading, long walks on the beach, dying repeatedly in roguelikes and ripping and tearing in FPS games. I also sometimes write code and sometimes that includes hobbyist game development.

Welcome back soulja! :)

Linus btw served in the Uusimaa brigade and took the rank of 2nd lieutenant (ballistic calculation).

A shooter starring a scientist? It'll never sell.

Welcome back to regular duty!

I'm really curious about Black Mesa, I'll have to check that out. I will do my best to skip the ARMA parts though. Oddly, my year in the army didn't leave me hungry for more, real or fake.
