Humble Bundle stats

The awesome Josh aka Cheese has with the blessing of Humble written a full write up of past and present Humble Bundles to show a true breakdown of the payments from each platformers users.

There are breakdowns for each bundle to show a per-platform amount conributed to each bundle which was really interesting to see Linux pay more in total than Mac a few times, again further proving the point that there really is a market for us.

To use the Humble Frozenbyte bundle as an example of the above mentioned aspect;

Total Payments: $910,495.41
Linux Payments: $231,460.71
MacOS Payments: $149,952.61
Windows Payments: $529,082.09

So in this example Linux gamers paid in total $81,508.1 more revenue to the bundle than Mac, although i still pails in comparison to the amount more that Windows users paid, but they really do have that many more users than us. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

That's an interesting way to look at it. I could put together total purchases, revenue and averages for all bundles combined as well if that's of interest.

The charts are self-updating by the way (new figures are pulled at least every six hours), so the page will reflect the final numbers when the current bundle is finished and automatically add any new bundles that come along in the future.

It'll be interesting to see if the number of Linux purchasers for this bundle exceeds the Indie Bundle #2 numbers. With 3 days left, it's definitely possible.
