As someone who has been slightly obsessed over the Vikings series from the History network, a game based around Norse mythology is exactly what I need right now.

Viking Vengeance from Lowpoly Interactive is due out sometime later this year and it is currently advertising Linux support on Steam. When speaking to the developer about it in this forum post, they said "Hello and thank you for the question. Yes if people using Linux will be interested in the game we will definitely bring it to Linux.", so it might be worth letting them know if you're interested.

  • Earn the gods favors by doing a variety of activities, from fixing their idol statues and praying to summon them or their powers in battle.
  • The game will offer over 20 hours of gameplay with different locations, different quests, different foes and different equipment and skills to unlock from the gods.

Quoting: PatolaThey are already advertising Linux support, but we need to express our interest for that to become a reality? Does it mean they could backtrack from that promise?

Game seems interesting and enjoyable, anyway. I could add it to my wishlist if it gets a native Linux version.

Hello Patola!

Let me begin by thanking you for addressing this question and for the kind words.

We want to do a Linux version, properly with QA and everything so it's not a half-assed attempt. However, we're not sure how many people are interested and as such we can't exactly judge how to go by prioritizing it.
By showing us your interested (via the wishlist) we will have an idea how many of you want it and we can plan accordingly.

Wishlisted! I love the graphic design! (Especially popping bodies like blood baloons with a single blow! SPLAT! Thumbs up there.) I do wonder, though. Liam says it's an action RPG, but I don't see the RPG tag associated with the game on Steam. Is it an RPG, afterall?

Thanks for giving Linux some love. What we lack in market share, we make up with Liberty, so that's pretty nice. :D
