Interstellaria New Trailer, Mixing Starbound-like Gameplay With FTL

I have to say that I simply love all these space themed games coming out for Linux and Interstellaria looks to be one of the best.

The game was funded on Kickstarter and nearly hit 200% of their target in December of last year, and it's making excellent progress as you can see.

About
Interstellaria is a 2d space SIM/RPG/Sandbox game by Coldrice Games LLC created in the same vein as the best space exploration games of the past. Inspired heavily by games like Starflight or Star Control, Interstellaria is all about allowing the player freely explore space. Every star has something interesting to see, and every planet has it’s own unique feel. In addition, each alien race follows its own culture and moral values.

So, unlike Starbound this game will be single-player with a focus on things like ship to ship combat and diplomacy as well as exploration. The combat right now does seem extremely simple though, so that could be the only bad point in its books.

You can pre-order now for $10, but that's currently without any early access to it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.
