KeeperRL is the up-and-coming open source dungeon sim that recently hit their funding goal on indiegogo to expand. They have also just release a big alpha update to the free and open source game.

I can't wait to see where the project goes a year down the line from here. With the money raised on the link above indiegogo campaign the UI overhaul especially interests me to make the game easier to get started with. Not to mention the graphics overhaul planned to pretty it up.
